“Balaam was a fantastic guide — both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We visited several different sites, from the Education Ministry to the Palacio de las Bellas Artes and Almeida Park. I feel that Balaam tailored what we saw to what I said I was interested in. But at the same time his knowledge of the artistic motifs, the secrets in many of the paintings, and in particular the indigenous cultural and religious themes that had shaped Diego Rivera's work was really new to me. The murals themselves were really impressive and steeped in rich history. This is an unmissable tour if you come to Mexico City.”

I had been to Mexico City the year before and had gone to the Secretary of Education building before but with a guide it was a totally new experience. “Abraham was our guide and there were just three of us on this tour! As a professor he’s very knowledgeable and I enjoyed the tour a lot. Visiting the studio house without a guide would have been very underwhelming. The other guests weren’t as into taking photos like me, so that’s the only thing I wish I did more of as the architecture is stunning and so unique. You get picked up right from your hotel so that’s a big plus. Highly recommended.”

“I had a 3:00 tour with Jorge. It was amazing. He is a great guide and really enlightened me to Diego Rivera and other muralists. However, you cannot have a 3 1/2 tour starting at 3:00 because the venues close at 5:30-6:00 and it was a little stressful getting everything done. You should make 2:30 the last tour.”
