“What a special way to roam this massive market in the heart of Mexico city ! The small group allows you to really have an intimate experience to ask questions, navigate the area without worrying of being cut off by the narrow lanes and busyness of it all! Our tour guide, Adrian, was wonderful. He had alot of experience and knowledge in the culinary field and was able to connect with myself and others on the tour, highlighting the uniqueness of the markets itself, the foods we were trying and was extremely helpful in all areas. Thank you! I definitely recommend to book this tour if it is your first…”

Gaby gave us a tour of the real Tepito through her eyes. We always felt safe. Gaby greeted us at the uber drop meeting point and also ensured she waited and got us in the uber to go home. A 4-hour English-friendly street-food walk through Mercado Sonora and La Merced, with mole, pre-Hispanic snacks, murals, and a surreal church.

“This a terrific tour for people looking to experience the non-touristy, traditional hustle and bustle of the Merced District and the Mercados. Our guide Pablo helped us navigate the depths of the Mercado Sonora and the Mercado Merced and we hardly saw any other tourists. We thoroughly enjoyed being led through the Mercado labyrinths. We loved experiencing the sights, colors, sounds and smells of local life. There is definitely a challenge level navigating through crowds so this is for good, confident walkers. We also enjoyed the stops for a michelada, juice, tastings of pre-Spanish era foods (that was a challenge!) and then 2-3 taco stops after. Pablo was open to…”

“I had an amazing time on the Eat and Explore Local Markets tour in Mexico City! Dara and Denisse were fantastic guides—so friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. They introduced us to local vendors, explained the history and culture behind the markets, and made sure everything I ate was safe and delicious (I’m gluten-free and they were super thoughtful about it). The food was incredible and the whole experience felt authentic and personal. Highly recommend if you want to see the city like a local!”
