“A wonderful experience and a must-do if visiting Mexico. Four and a half hour drive from Mexico City in an air-conditioned van with stops along the way to eat, stretch, change, and buy souvenirs. Our host, Danny, and driver Alfredo, were kind, knowledgeable and with us every step of the way. The water was warm and the sites were gorgeous. Would do it again and again”

“The location - caves, waterfalls, pools, river was fantastic. Must-visit place. Hardly any options for vegetarians at the lunch stop. Better to carry some eatables. If you use prescription glasses, be careful with it when you go to the caves”

“Great experience. We were three Canadian Travellers and booked a private tour. Juan was our driver. Was very long day travelling from Mexico City, but worth the time. Amazing countryside drive. The pools were great and the river was really cool, but the Gruta caves were absolutely amazing. Once in a lifetime experience. Super warm water. Amazing all the way around.”

We really enjoyed the barbacoa place we stopped at on the way there, delicious food with a very welcoming and friendly environment. “Even though this experience was a long day, it is most likely something I would do again! It was an early start and ended pretty late but the group was small so it moved along pretty smoothly. “For me it wasn't what I was expecting. It was a long drive, the park was exceedingly crowded (because it's pretty). Be aware it's be hard work traveling along the path and steps to the Grotto are steep.”

“Provider had changed the meeting place and completely forgot about me. I received no message before the tour started, drove to the designated meeting point and waited 30 minutes in vain. Provider did not respond to mails, did not provide a phone number. First Viator gave me his phone number without taking action on his own. The touring bus had already left from elsewhere without me, but then came back to pick me up.”

“Our guide Elías was fantastic! His relaxed style meant we could explore at our own pace, and he shared really interesting background info at each stop. He organized the day so well and even came prepared with things like extra towels and torches for the caves. We loved how he pointed out the local fruit trees too—trying the lime leaves was a real highlight!”
